“His response was to fight it with the only weapons at hand—passive resistance and open displays of contempt.” ― Kurt Vonnegut, The Sirens of Titan
One of the fortunate side benefits of blogging is that of not having to please subscribers. I frankly don’t care who reads me or not.
Or if anyone reads me at all. I write for posterity, and nothing more.
In hindsight, that is what taught me what good writing is- all of those anonymous influences that leaked into my subconscious from somewhere- that others wrote; that others felt important enough to put down somewhere.
And my writing will float around on the internet ling enough so that others can plagiarize it, learn from it, laugh at it, or dismiss it as the most horrible stuff ever written.
I don’t care how it’s interpreted- because for the one person who “gets it,” that is enough.
