“His response was to fight it with the only weapons at hand—passive resistance and open displays of contempt.” ― Kurt Vonnegut, The Sirens of Titan
Five police officers are allegedly dead and six others inferred to have been wounded in an attack by hypothetical snipers in Dallas Texas, and one suspected protester is dead.
Micah X. Johnson, a 26 year old Army veteran and one of two suspected shooters, was killed when a SWAT team robot detonated a bomb near where he had taken cover at El Centro College.
The alleged shootings of police are said to have taken place as protesters filled the cities downtown area chanting “Hands up! Don’t shoot!” and ” No Justice , no peace!”
The protesters had gathered to protest the rampant police killings of unarmed American men and black men in particular.
Dallas has a long history of sniper shootings dating back to the assassination of John F. Kennedy, and most of these shootings have historically involved obstruction of justice, cover-ups and occlusion of the facts by intelligence agencies ranging from the CIA to the FBI to the Texas Rangers.
