“His response was to fight it with the only weapons at hand—passive resistance and open displays of contempt.” ― Kurt Vonnegut, The Sirens of Titan
Ciancia, the gunman whose 2013 rampage at Los Angeles International Airport left a Transportation Security Administration officer dead and three others injured, has agreed to plead guilty to all ending federal charges, according to court papers filed Thursday.
Remember the dummy in the wheelchair?
“Ciancia, now 26, will formally enter the guilty plea to 11 felony counts related to his Nov. 1, 2013, attack in the airport’s bustling Terminal 3, including the murder of TSA Officer Gerardo I. Hernandez.
As part of the plea deal, prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty, but the murder charge to which Ciancia will plead carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison. The weapons charges carry another mandatory 60 years in prison, in addition to several years behind bars for other charges.
A federal judge will eventually determine the terms of his punishment.
Marshall McClain, director of the union that represents airport police officers, said he hoped the plea agreement would help Hernandez’s family members heal.http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-lax-shooter-guilty-plea-20160901-snap-story.html”
Or: ‘how many black ops guys does it take to brainwash, and patsify a 5’3″ tall 115# kid?’ AND: Paul Ciancia’s father had extensive ties to law enforcement.
I really don’t have an opinion on this one, other than that I believe that there are better ways to express patriotism.
Like-write a blog! Which is why I write. But I have noticed that when these random nutcases buy guns, they selom know how to use them, with a few exceptions. And also, that these shootings occur in the dumbest, most convenient to the terrorists-are-everywhere places. And they fuel the anti-gun narrative way too conveniently, leaving any sensible onlooker with the Iimpression that it’s a bunch of dummies and sociopaths on either side of the issue.
